Exclusive names ... well maybe not!

I was doing some research when I noticed that every designer has a name for every bag. So you telling me I not only have to design and make these bags but I also have to name them too? Starting this business is beginning to be like having children. So anyways, I sat down to draw up the bags and measurements and figured now would be a good time to name them too! So okay here we go.

This is The Essentials Wristlet. It measures 7 by 4 inches.

The Everyday Handbag measure 10 by 6 inches. It features a short strap for carrying on your arm or in hand.

The Everyday Messenger was kind of daughters idea. She said she wanted a bag that she can carry across her body. So I decided that The Everyday bag could use a messenger companion. Same dimensions as the handbag only the strap is long.

Last but not least is The Weekender Tote. Not so much of a traditional tote but large enough to fit into the category. Measures 15 by 10 by 4.

I decided that I wanted to do a flap with a magnetic closure. Still deciding on the material for the flap. Not sure if I want a store bought material or keep it custom. What do you think? Your comments, questions and thoughts are always appreciated!

Its been a long time coming!

Welcome! You have found my little blog about RJ Exclusives Exclusively Handmade Handbags! RJ Exclusives was founded at the start of 2013. After researching ways to launch my own fashion line I finally decided to start with the very fabrics  I would be working with. After much research I finally found Spoonflower, a company that prints custom fabrics. Wow this can't real. I bet they want me to order a whole bulk at a time. Nope. No minimums.

So now what? I have my fabrics what should I create with them? Everything! No, wait! Maybe I should start with a niche. Ooh I know! Handbags! Okay great! Now I know what to make what size and shape should they be? Wait how many different bags should I offer? Ugh, this is overwhelming. Maybe I should just do something else. No, I know I can do this. I just have to pace myself. Let me do some research and draw up some designs. Eureka I think I got it! Three sizes two shapes all related. I think I was making this harder than what it should be.

Now to work! Next thing is to pick out hardware for the bags. Let you know what I decide on and if I need help picking out some. By the way, if you haven't done so already head over to the Facebook App to vote on your favorite designs for my product launch. The top five designs will be printed and made into the first line of handbags. Excited to see the final product! Will keep you posted! Til then!
